Chanhassen, Minnesota

The City of Chanhassen has been awarded one of the Best Places to Live in the Nation, Top Ten Town to Raise a Family, Highest Quality of Life in the Twin Cities and have the Best Community Festival for their Fourth of July Celebration.

Not only do Chanhassen residents live in a nationally-recognized community, they are also blessed with the availability of solid, Christian education from junior kindergarten through high school right at their fingertips. Chapel Hill Academy is located on the eastern edge of Chanhassen’s business district, close to neighborhood parks, sports fields and other community interests that are available for use for field trips, track and field day and other school activities. Southwest Christian High School opened the doors to its brand new high school facilities in the fall of 2012 and is located seven miles to the southwest of Chapel Hill Academy.

With an estimated population of 24,614 (2015), Chanhassen has 14,427 acres in 24 square miles. Most of the City is located within Carver County; however, 154 acres in eastern Chanhassen are located in Hennepin County, approximately 20 miles southwest of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul in Minnesota. (Map & Directions) The recently-constructed Highway 212 gives Chanhassen residents easy and efficient access to the southwestern suburbs and all of their amenities plus downtown Minneapolis.

Chanhassen boasts twelve beautiful, clean lakes wholly or partially located within the city limits, and its 500-acre park system features five community parks and 22 neighborhood parks scattered throughout the community. Walkers, bikers, runners and in-line skaters enjoy 55 miles of trails and sidewalks. The trails connect downtown, parks and neighborhoods.
