WHERE/WHEN TO MEET:
Please MEET AT CHAPEL HILL starting at 1:00 p.m. to be sure that everyone has their CHA gear and knows their role. Staging begins at 1:00/1:30 . All entries should be in place and ready to move at 2:30 sharp. The city has asked that we check in with volunteers on the corner of W 77th Street and Great Plains Blvd. We will enter the staging area from W 78th & Frontier, you’ll see “staging area” signs. The check-in volunteers will direct us where our exact staging location is. Cones with our unit name and number will be placed where we will be staged.
WHAT TO BRING:
Bring water, sunblock and wear a hat or visor. (We’ll have Chapel Hill backpacks available to carry your items in if you wish) Please eat a good lunch, hydrate and bring snacks! Remember, you’ll be outside longer than just the length of the parade, and we’ll be waiting in the staging area for about an hour before hand. If you have a hand-held umbrella you are encouraged to bring it for shade. Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! Please remember to drink water on parade day! It is normally very hot and we want you to be safe. We will have a cooler in the car with water bottles as well!
